Jablanica

The landscape and vegetation in this area is visibly distinctive from the rest of Herzegovina. The climate is moderately continental and the climate conditions in mountainous areas are ideal thanks to the Mediterranean climate which penetrates through the Neretva and Rama valleys. The whole area has been attractive for human settlement since the earliest days. Natural conditions of the area make it an attractive base for the development of nearly every type of continental tourism. It abounds with conifer forest areas: pines, firs, spruces, cypresses, etc., which create beautiful mountainous and hilly landscapes throughout the whole year. Entire area is abounds with lakes, the most famous of which are: the lakes in Rama, Jablanica and Borač. The Neretva canyon with its steep gorges, clear river flows and untouched nature creates unbelievable sights. Streams flow throughout mountain peaks, chiseling out the mountains where the flowing waters create waterfalls. 
Incredible nature and spectacular landscape of this area rich in riverflows, hillsides and magic meadows are perfect to get engaged in various recreational activities such as: hiking, camping, rafting, fishing, kayaking or canoeing, cycling and paragliding.

Rafting on the Neretva river
Neretva is one of the most beautiful rivers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and was named as early as during Celtic times as Nera Etwa meaning the divine river. Rafting along this amazing emerald green river  has become a popular recreation for many over the last decades thus becoming a kind of adrenaline challenge. The most attractive and exciting rafting tour at the moment is the part between Konjic and Glavbatičevo. With some quick winding rapid flows, the Neretva falls among the most attractive rivers in Europe with a difficulty ranking of 2-3. The length of the track is 23 km and the rafting lasts around five hours through beautiful canyons and waterfalls.

Prenj
Prenj is a mountain massif located in the central part of the Dinaric Alps, in the northern part of Herzegovina, surrounded by the beautiful Neretva river from Glavatičevo by Konjic, to Bijelo polje by Mostar. The tallest peak of Prenj is Zelena glava with an elevation of 2153 m. There are ten other peaks with an elevation over 2000 m. Prenj bears the name "Sir among mountains".  Mount Prenj abounds in hiking tracks and is very interesting for mountaineers. The mountain is also suitable for camping during spring and summer.

Jablanica Lake
The Jablanica Lake is a man made accumulation lake. It spreads from Konjic to Jablanica. The Jablanica Lake attracts swimmers and fishers and it is suitable for water sports. The surface area of the lake is 13 km2, the greatest depth is 70. It is known as a weekend resort for tourists all around since old days. The Jablanica Lake was constructed in 1953 when when the arched dam on the Neretvawas built, 5 km upstream of Jablanica. Today the lake has some of the best and most visited fishing spots in the country, proved by the locals standing on the side of the road selling their ‘catches of the day’ – large carp, trout, bass and other fish.

Nature Park Blidinje
The richness and diversity of flora in the Nature Park Blidinje, whose greatest part lies in the municipality of Jablanica, is comprised out of the great diversity of plants from Mediterranean to high mountain plant species. A great number of endemic species is also part of the park's flora, such as fungi and the park's beauty, the Bosnian pine tree. The park has the greatest complex of Bosnian pine trees in Europe. Among the numerous animals of the Park, peculiarities are certainly the king of the forest, the brown bear, and the ornament of the Čvrsnica peaks, the mountain goat. The Dugo polje stećci necropolis is part of the Natural Park Blidinje with around 150 stećci exhibis. They are also under UNESCO's protection. The park also hosts a modern skiing center. The skiing center in Risovac, in which there are three ski lifts "četverosjed", "bebi" and the old ski lift "Poma". Because of the geo-traffic position, untouched nature and mild climate, it is currently one of the most attractive winter destinations. 
Boračko Lake is 20 km away from Konjic, in the Prenj foothills. The Boračko Lake is a natural lake on 400 m sea level and the favorite retreat for people from Konjic, Mostar and Sarajevo. The Boračko Lake is rich in flora and fauna. Some fish species in the Boračko Lake are carp, perch, chub and trout. Water plants inhabit the lake itself and give it its unique look. The Boračko Lake is also well-equipped in terms of infrastructure. It is possible to rent wooden bungalows, pedal boats and boats. It also has spaces for BBQ-s and children's playgrounds. Hotels and motels were erected in the vicinity of the lake so that the Boračko Lake also satisfies accommodation capacities.
